Keyfund is a social enterprise dedicated to making a lasting positive change to the lives of disadvantaged, vulnerable and deprived young people, enabling them to fulfil their potential and live sustainable and independent lives. “Winning the award has not only been a huge boost to me personally, but has really put Keyfund up there on the public stage. All our hard work, creativity and diligence is being recognised and valued.
Since winning the award, Keyfund has gone on to secure two significant new funders who have invested in the development of our core team to enable us to take our social licensing model to the next level.
In April, Keyfund won the North East Business Award for ‘Not-for-Profit Organisation of the Year’. We fended off large public sector competition and surprised even ourselves with this huge achievement. This has given us more credibility in the private sector and helped us to bring three new corporate partners on board. The whole team is buzzing with excitement and energy for the future in a time where many organisations are burying their heads in the sand”.
