Di’s vision is creative collaboration. She puts it into practice in her own business by pulling together teams from her community of creatives - she encourages the freelancers and entrepreneurs she mentors to do the same.
Di recently set up a website to enable businesses to collaborate and is also on the board of the regional networking organisation, Women Into the Network.

“The Newcastle Enterprise Awards did a great job of putting the spotlight on the need for enterprise in the broad sense. People need to be supported to find ways of recognising what they are good at and enjoy doing, and how to make a living from it. That could mean becoming self-employed, taking on freelance short-term contracts, collaborating with others on projects or setting up an enterprise or business. The more people who can be encouraged to do their own thing and make money from it, the better it is.”
