Award won: Shining Light for Youth Development, Newcastle Enterprise Awards

Year of winning: 2010

“I was really pleased to win an award at the Newcastle Enterprise Awards as it has helped to raise the profile of our school, and the work that our students have been doing towards gaining skills and experience, that will provide them with increased independence and employability when they leave school.  We pride ourselves on developing confident and positive young people who face challenges with the utmost determination.  The members of the Parson's Pizzas team have done just that and it was great to allow others to see the achievements that our students have made.  The evening was very special, allowing a great opportunity to meet like minded, inspired people who were willing to share and support each other to develop enterprise within the city.”
