Press release: Newcastle’s most enterprising finalists announced

2nd October - Since July entries have been pouring in for the Newcastle Enterprise Awards in the search for the very best in entrepreneurial talent and support in the city.

We are delighted that the finalists can now be announced.
 
The Newcastle Enterprise Awards celebrate the achievements, talents and passion of the brightest new and established entrepreneurs in the city, as well as those who might have helped them to succeed, such as mentors, support staff and even friends.
 
The awards are presented in two categories: Enterprise/Business Journey and Enterprise/Business Supporters awards. Finalists from the Awards will go forward to The Lord Mayor’s Enterprise Award, a special honour created by The Lord Mayor of Newcastle upon Tyne and given to the individual, group or business she believes deserves recognition for their contribution to enterprise.

The winners in each category will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 8 October at the Civic Centre in Newcastle. The event which runs from 6.45pm until midnight includes a drinks reception and three course meal followed by coffee & mints. It offers local businesses excellent networking opportunities; and of course the chance to see the winners in each of the award categories. 
 
The Newcastle Enterprise Awards are co-funded by the Government through Solutions for Business and the European Regional Development Fund and are part of the Newcastle Enterprise Package - a range of business support activities by Newcastle City Council.
